cowfish moment

Noun.

1. A circumstance, or instance that, when having passed, leaves observers or participants baffled and confused.
2. An event where any individual feels that the only appropriate reaction consists of the amalgamation of a fish and a cow due to an awkward silence or some other undesirable outcome.

Origins:
An image of a bull photoshopped with a shark – seemingly to visualize the term bull shark – was interpreted as "cow fish," leading to the first ever cowfish moment.
