Noun : A spontaneous instance or episode of property destruction with no apparent motivation other than boredom, especially in, but not limited to those cases where unusual or creative methods of destruction or property have been utilised. The word was invented while walking past a popular illegal dumping site, when a car's discarded disc brake caliper was used to destroy an also discarded vacuum cleaner. The ownership of the property is not important, as some episodes of rimblitism may involve the destruction of one's own property. Rimblitism is not strictly vandalism, in that vandalism sometimes carries connotations of motive, but it could be argued that riblitism is simply a specific form of vandalism. A particularly creative instance of rimblitism is sometimes referred to as riblitastic.
The adjective form is rimblistic.
Upon spotting the steering wheel lying on the ground, and without so much as a thought, he hurled it full pace at the microwave oven. This act of rimblitism left the microwave in a dire state.
