A ratio used to define the proper number of men and women in a mixed group, usually defined as at least more women than the number of men. If X is women and Y is men the mathematical equation for the ratio is X = Y + 1 where Y > 2. Common group sizes that make use of the ratio are 2:3. 3:4, 4:5.
Used to avoid people from getting mixed singles in group situations. When used properly it will mitigate the amount of drama within the groups dynamics.
