snotfest

A collective term for when a group of people (e.g. family, work colleagues) who are co-located suffer from a bad cold that results in copious sneezing and excessive nasal mucus.

Basically, a festival of snot.

We were supposed to go to Alton Towers at the weekend but the family had a snotfest so we had to cancel.

ding dinner

A microwaveable ready meal. Named for the sound the microwave makes when it's ready to eat.

We couldn't be bothered to cook last night so we made do with a ding dinner.
