Making a dumb decision or a decision that you didn't put much thought into too.

Example:

Son: I'll just do the 8 math assignments tomorrow, I'm going to go out with John.
Mom: You need to do your homework, how are you going to do 8 assignments in one day?

Dad: That's a red choice son.

Son: What's a red choice?
Dad: Nevermind, do your work.
