A: Hey man, where's your date we're about to take some pictures.
B: She couldn't make it tonight she came down with prom fever.
A: Aww, that sucks. At least you know that she's fine as hell!

when a person starts changing their personality, looks, treatment towards others, etc. during prom season just so they get a date to prom.

Betty gave me a cookie today instead of punching me like she usually does, she definitely caught prom fever.
