Bagging

To rapidly flee pursuit by law enforcement agents. Stems from the verb “to bag.” Law enforcement agents or “tha 12” bag (bust) a criminal activity and suspects run away, thereby “bagging” or “bagging it” from the cops.

Word originates from the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia) area, particularly used among minority working class areas ie. Wheaton-Glenmont, Takoma, the PG, etc.

1: Nigga. Lossou was dodging some police birds last night.

2: Straight? Niggas only 10 years old. Too young to be bagging from tha 12 nawimsayin?

1: Straight. These days crime pays like a part time job.
