Dedi

1. Short for "dedication." Used to describe someone who's all in, 100% committed to whatever they're doing.

2. A shoutout or tribute to someone, usually to celebrate or acknowledge one's performance. Sending a dedi:
— When you request a song on the radio for someone special.
— Giving props to your squad before a performance.
— Tagging someone in a social media post to show love.

"Yo, check out Sarah's gains at the gym. That's pure dedi right there."
"This dude's got mad dedi to his craft. He's been coding for 48 hours straight!"

DJ: "This next track is a dedi from Lisa to her ride-or-die BFF Tanya. Here's 'Best Friend' by Saweetie!"

Friend 1: "Yo, did you catch Sarah's speech at the Grammys?"
Friend 2: "Yeah, that dedi to her teacher was mad emotional. I almost teared up!"
