NBA Street

The best basketball video game. Period. Every cool kid had this game or played it.

;

A game that inspired a generation of kids to try new tricks and new dunks on lowered hoops. Also caused kids to throw basketballs at other kids heads and say "off the heezy".

NBA Street contributed to my 5th grade recess basketball career.

NBA paradox

NBA paradox references the paradoxical notion that any disparity in a organization's racial composition is the result of systemic racism and/or discriminatory practices. This is the underlying justification for affirmative action and selective, race-based scholarships, grants ect.. An example would be: Because there are proportionally less African American Neurosurgeons than White Neurosurgeons, there must be some form of discrimination preventing African Americans from becoming Neurosurgeons, and to correct this injustice, we should target and support recruiting-efforts for African American Neurosurgeons. The paradox is to look at organizations that are disproportionately African American, such as the NBA. No one believes that discrimination prevents Whites from playing in the NBA, and most conclude that the disparity is due to African Americans having greater skill in this area. But accepting this idea is to also accept that disparities across race can be due to legitimate differences in skill, which are race-dependent. This conflicts with the dogma described above and is a paradox. This paradox is also sometimes used to reference the fact that most of those calling for change in racial-disparities through the active discrimination of other races, are usually serving their own race or will not be affected by the discrimination.

The NBA paradox tells us why constantly trying to socially-correct racial disparities can lead to real discrimination.

NBA 2k16

One of the best selling, and most cheese-filled NBA game ever. The term Cheese means, to put it bluntly, a dumb moment that shouldn't've happened. Such as the CPU hitting a contested three pointer. Even with the occasional cheese, 2k is still one of the most fun nba games to ever be created and/or played.

Tom and I went to pre-order our copies of NBA 2k16 yesterday, it looks fun.

NBA 2K

NBA 2K is a game that is pay to win where you have to buy vc every second because the cracked build that you probably have gets taken away in like a month and all the trash builds get buffed and it is also where the cheesy centers with the annoying alien face creations just post up and post hook all the time also it is where cheesy point guards do their annoying left to right move and green up every second. In addition it is also where Ronnie2k (a lazy bastard) cant be asked to change a park for two years because his brain dont function well and doesnt like to make differences he has only changed 2k21 park for current gen because of all the hate he gets

Yo brodi wanna play some NBA 2K
Nah bro im good dont wanna get raped by ronnie still wanna stay pure dude
Uh sure dude why not
I reccommend you dont play it before you lose all your money in your visa card ;)

NBA 2K5

A basketball video game released on September 28, 2004 from SEGA and Visual Concepts, and branded by ESPN. Remembered as one of the greatest general video games, let alone basketball, ever. A quintessential item to own for any basketball fan or video game player. A true magnum opus. Featured Ben Wallace on the cover. The game reflects the last season of true NBA magic where the likes of superstars (T-Mac, Kobe Bryant, AI, VC, Shaq, KG) combined with the swan song of future Hall of Famers (Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Scottie Pippen) and a pretty good talent pool in between. Is based from the Detroit Pistons' amazing championship season that is rememebered as one of the best Finals ever.

A game to reminisce to for any hoop head who remembers the good old days. Includes the indisputable greatest soundtrack known to man of underground hip-hop and other intergalactic beats. The crowd was crazy, the gameplay perfect, and all the dunks and game winners. The game mode '24/7' was prime where your created player battles NBA players on the street trying to work your way up. 'Street' mode features majestic, sweeping landscapes of courts from around the world. Rain or shine, day or night, you could just ball. You can literally feel the energy flow through your body while playing it and it feels everything seems right in the world. Even for 2004, still has pretty good graphics. SEGA and Visual Concepts crafted a genuine masterpiece that is still, and will always be, ahead of it's time...

I still play NBA 2K5 to this day, and always will... The evolution from playing it in elementary school all the way to now in college, and all the memories and good times in between. This game will be buried with me when I die. I wish the next generation consoles actually acknowledged the thought of technological advancement and included backwards compatibility so I could see what 2K5 is like on new consoles. But looks like it's the good old original Xbox for now...

If you still have an Xbox or PS2, you NEED to get this game, for dirt cheap too, so you can experience the magic. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain...

Parker: "Dude remember the good old days of the NBA? Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury were all-stars?"
Jason: "Yeah I do, those were the good days..."
Parker: "Reminds me of playing NBA 2K5 growing up and all of it's enchantment..."
