Commercial work

The kind of work where you hate the work and the workers.

Being married to Katie was like commercial work ...

Hard work

Hard work is like fucking Harvey Weinstein. Some people are willing to do it consensually but it's objectively gross and unpleasant. You can't say "no" to it and you kind of have to do it to make it anywhere in life. The results of doing it will undoubtedly vary because even after doing it the outcome is still dependant on the whim of a hairy bald faggot.

Hym "Hard work is like fucking Harvey Weinstein..."

Idiot "But you could do it if you really committed to it. There's no excuse. You don't have a better option. Just quit complaining and take that fat hairy bald faggot cock. If you're not willing to do it then you are where you deserve to be in life."

Hym "But not all of the people who do it reap the benefits of doing it and if I found a work-around you would try to stop me."

Idiot "Well, yeah, but you said a thing i dont like. I will kill you motherfucker."

Hym "Do... Do you see how you're not the good guy here right?"

Spite work

Unnecessary busy work imposed by employers to make sure they get their money’s worth out of employees or unnecessary working conditions imposed to micromanage employees.

I can perform my job better from (insert any location that makes sense), but am being told to go do it (insert other location that does not make sense) to keep tabs on me. This is some serious spite work.

You perform all of your duties, but are being asked to do some extra spite work that makes no sense and is usually mandated by someone else who is not an expert in your field.

Bad professional development/meetings that could have been emails just for the sake of having professional development/meetings are spite work.

When you are done with your work and more spite work is piled on because it would be a shame if you had nothing to do and were still being paid

Working Lazy

It's when you have some work to do so you get your friend to help you so you say you need to get something inside and instead of getting what you "needed" you watch TV or something you would rather be doing. So you don't come back until the work is done or almost done.

Person 1: Awww!!!! I have so much work to do out here! Oh I know, I'll call a friend! (Calling his friend...)

Person 2: Hello?

Person 1: Hey can you come over to my place and help me get some work done faster? There's alot to do by myself.

Person 2: Yeah sure! I'll be right over!

Meanwhile....

Person 2: Whoa there is alot here let's get it done fast!

Person 1: Ok! Hey actually I need to get something inside, I'll be right back.

Person 2: Ok.

Meanwhile

Person 1: Ok I'm back!

Person 2: Where were you? I got the job nearly done already!

Person 1: Yeah... About that there was a awesome movie on and I wanted to see it.

Person 2: You were Working Lazy and made me do everything!

Person 1: I didn't make you work you did it yourself!

Person 2: Whatever... This friendship is over!

Person 1: (As long I don't have to work my life is good!)

working closely

A term used by those that are usually in deep shit, or leach off of another entities reputation. This is done by piggy backing off of another entity with a good reputation, so it falsely communicates a sense of "we know what we are doing."

FDA: We issued a letter to Whole Foods saying they f*cked up and mislabeled their food and it made a lot of people with allergies sick.
AMAZON: we're working closely with the FDA to get our shit together.

Work Death

A Work Death occurs when a co-worker leaves your team for another company. In reality they're still alive, but the truth is you'll never see that person ever again after they leave. It's as if they've died and gone on to the next (corporate) life.

"Did you hear that Kami is leaving us for a job at MegaCorp?!"
"Dang, I bet we never see her again"
"Oh well, be sure to wish her a Happy Work Death :)"
