Lead singer and guitarist for band Nirvana. Married to Courtney Love and had 1 child, daughter Frances Bean. Was not the most talented musician, by far, but definitly had the most impact on music of the 90's. Stupid metalheads and rap wannabe's hate him, because he was successful without all the glitz and gimmicks and skanky women(well, one skanky woman). Had a lot of mental problems, as obvious to anyone who has read his journals or paid attention to his lyrics. But, his profound lyrics combined with then unheard of musical stylings started one the biggest musical movements of the past 30 years.
No one knows what Kurt Cobain would have done with the rest of his life, but it's a shame we couldn't find out by him taking it's natural course.

A good singer and songwriter, an okay guitar player in a great band. Is slightly overrated, as someone said. People keep saying that kurt cobain is their idol, their god, their angel. But I bet they've never even fucking heard one nirvana song. They just want to look cool and alternative and "anti-establishment". Why is everyone caught up in some paranoia induced bullshit conspiracy that kurt cobain was murdered by courtney? He was suicidal, thats a fact, i read his biography. Lets try to remember him for what he was, a great musician.

One of the most influential and greatest rock musicians ever. Helped ignite the alternative/grunge era of the 1990s. Developed the soft verse/loud chorus format which every band uses presently. Often thought of as overrated by ignorant fellows. Fame has skyrocketed with his supposed suicide, but still remains a legend in fans' hearts. Incredibly creative mind, nice person at heart, destructive to his own body, simple yet melodic songwriter, very misunderstood. There will never be another one like him.
