otaku

Otaku is what some hardcore anime fans call themselves.

Anyone who calls themself an "Otaku" is a complete prick and should be shot in the face over and over again.

I'm an otaku, an absolute twat with no social life , oh, and I'm better than you because I have a bigger anime collection.

Otaku

A Japanese word for person whom are prone to stay at home and watches anime/manga/video games. Although my friends and I like to mess around with that word saying like:
Goodbye my otaku brethern

Or
Fellow Otakus unite!
Or something like that

PS it is a negative word

Great I'm stuck with a non-otaku.

otaku

Rediculous 50 bigots in the universe who say that everything from Japan is superior JUST because it's from Japan, and everything elsewhere (mainly American) is horrible. They tend to bash America in every way possible, and blame America for 'ruining' things such as anime and videogames with minor things such as poor voice-acting skills. There is a big difference between otakus, hermits, and people that are actually interested in the country of Japan for it's cultural value. The difference is that all otakus do is complain about how Japan does not rule the world and how they believe that everything Japanese is perfect. People, usually otakus, however, tend to get these words confused, unfortunately. They act as Japanese as possible when they really aren't, but it really just makes them look even more retarded. Idiots.

Perfect example of something you'd hear from an otaku: "lol im an otaku and i preffer subbed anime than dubbed anime bcause itz more japaneeese and america ruinz everything even tho i phail 2 understand japanese"

otaku

If you wear a shirt that says "Otaku" with the kanji script above it, and you are an american, you are an idiot.

Otaku is not something someone strives to be, nor is it a good thing. Americans, and I suppose other non-Japanese, do not understand the truth to this phrase.

I hate those posers who walk around in Otaku shirts.

Otaku

The word 'Otaku' is first of all an insulting and degrading Japanese term; Something that most of otaku don't seem to comprehend and take as a compliment,

They are also annoyingly obsessive anime fans that base their lives entirely on the anime that they watch and have this wild notion that Japan is some kind of Anime Wonderland with giant Robots, pocket monsters, and mystical wells that lead to the past and they go there thinking that Japanese people look and act like the anime characters that they see on celuloid. They also seem to think that speaking "otaku-ese" is equivalent to speaking fluent Japanese and think that Japanese people are going to be impressed with their lacking progress.

They also stalk Japanese natives in their own country and if you have a Japanese boy/girlfriend ladies and gentleman, hold on to them tight because these freaks are determined to snag a Japanese love at all costs and they're not known to leave natives alone until they get a yes from them after they've heard a hundred noes.

Otaku: Do you like Naruto?
Japanese Native: *walks away*

Otaku: Excuse me, do you speak English? Can translate this manga for me? *bubbly eyes*
Japanese Native: *walks away annoyed*

Otaku: Excuse me, hi I saw you from over there, I just want to say you're really cute and I love Japanese guys/girls. Do you have a boy/girlfriend?
Japanese Native: Umm...how about you choke on a fat lard and die?
