what's the square root of this apartment?

Rhetorical question asked by someone distinctly more cool than whomever is being asked in an attempt to point out his or her inherent corniness or dorkiness.

Is used primarily used by a black person to a white person but may be used by any hip person who wants to call out an uncool subordinate.

Originally used in a skit on Chappelle's Show.

"Hey you white guy from Canada, what's the square root of this apartment? (laughs to self)."

my kids first apartment

Per The Family Guy:

Lois takes Peter to an Oral Sex learning retreat. Unknowingly Peter and Stewie have switched bodies in an unfortunate experiment gone wrong. Lois wants to show Peter where, โ€œthe kids first apartment is.โ€ The rest of the family desperately tries to invert the process before Stewie has to, โ€œMunch a Bunch of Fritos.โ€ Which entails chomping on Lois kitty. Prior to the chomping of the kitty, the inversion takes place, only to show it was Brian in Peters body doing the chompingโ€ฆ

Let me show you, my kids first apartmentโ€ฆ..

Never Tear Us Apart

Don't ask me
What you know is true
Don't have to tell you
I love your precious heart

I
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart

We could live
For a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I'd make wine from your tears
I told you
That we could fly
'Cause we all have wings
But some of us don't know why

I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never ever tear us apart

I (don't ask me)
I was standing (you know it's true)
Mm, you were there (worlds collided)
Two worlds collided (we're shining through)
And they could never tear us apart
You (don't ask me)
You were standing (you know it's true)
I was there (worlds collided)
Two worlds collided (we're shining through)
And they could never tear us apart

I
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided

You're tearing me apart, Lisa

An expression used to indicate that someone is making a big deal out of nothing. Stolen from a line of dialogue in a bad movie, Tommy Wiseau's "The Room".

Megan: So, Will. We need to talk. It may not be important to you, but the cap on a toothpaste tube should have a tight seal. If it does not, then bacteria can manifest itself in the paste, not to mention the cap coming off and squirting toothpaste onto my clothes.

Will: (holding his head in his hands and screaming) You're tearing me apart, Lisa!

Megan: Who's Lisa?

The Beardsley (Terrace) / Trumbull Gardens Apartments

The Beardsley Terrace now known as Trumbull Gardens is a housing project that is furthest north in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It is one of the well known housing projects in the city and the local area. The terrace is a half mile long on Trumbull Ave between Reservoir Ave and Chopsey Hill Road. It is in the Reservoir section of the North End. It has two high rise buildings and many two floor apartments. It is also know for the 6 bus running through it. It also has a community center for the youth. It is a bad housing project but improved over the years. It's kind of hidden by some trees from the next streets over and there only two ways in and out by driving.
