When a bunch of amsa students get together at the Upper / Lower school cafeterias or ForeKicks (you know, the soccer facility) to talk about cool stuff like plagiarism, screen time, or ACTing.

Carpet Convention

Any gathering in which women out number men, the direct opposite of a sausage fest.

1.) The book fair was a straight up carpet convention, not a sausage in site.

Diminutive convention

When you can't be bothered to name your variable meaningfully so you u use the first thing that comes to your mind. Usually diminutive. This convention is not yet widely acknowledged

Where anime lover go there for cosplays and other stuff. The groups of people include Teen Girls, Cosplayers and Weebs.

A congregation of police officers.

Fan Convention

n. Essentially, a meeting place for those with like interests. Examples of such gatherings include furry, comic book and anime conventions.

Conventions usually require one to register to gain admittance. Attendees might have to wear a badge as proof of payment. Conventions can range from one day to weekends and more, and prices vary in entrance fees.

Features of conventions might include (but not are not restricted to) events such as autograph signing, art sales, marketplaces or 'dealers rooms,' and entertainment (eg: boxing matches, karoake contests, dance contests, movie rooms, etc).

A convention is oftentimes shortened to simply a 'con,' in which case one might state that they are 'going to the con.'
