Falls into two catergories:
1)the alternative. this one listens to music that townies do not listen to. have a genuine sense of what is good music and good style. shops in one legged jockey because of clothes that look good, fit well. still has some pride in appearance and washes hair more than once a week. dont white out after one spliff. will be friends with anyone.
2) the wannabe. listens to slipknot and thinks is great because you cant understand what they are saying. the heavier the drums the better, much like the townie affection for a heavy bass line. shops in one legged jockey because "everyone else does". determined to wash as litle as possible in order to maintain "individuality". smokes a cigarette and claims they are hallucinating. Hates all townies and discriminates against them as badly as they are discriminated against.
These are the less severe versions of goths, who are seen as self harming druggies who like nothing better than suicide and unhappiness.
Type 2) "I am a grunger because i cant possibly have any friends or shampoo at home. i must also try my hardest to be random and differnt from everyone else."

a person that doesnt care about how they look. mostly the guys have there hair long but nesssailry.kurt cobain didnt alwasy have long hair :p
they may wear eyeliner and lipstick if they wish and the girls often have hair jet black and short in layers and wear light eyeliner lol

a greasy person who has long hair that never gets washed. grungers wear really baggy trousers which i supose they think look good. they always walk around with a bag on their back which probly doesnt actually contain anythin its just there to look 'cool'. if they are cool enuf to skate they will also either have a skateboard in their hand or strapped to their bag. they always assume that anyone who isnt a grunger is a townie.
if u wana see a grunger just go to your local skatepark thats where they hang even if they dont actually skate

a grunger is a person who dont wash their hair, has split ends, claims not to do so, but revolves 60% of their world around hating "townies" and 40% on "individuality" (apparently dressing like everyone else who listens to rock music is individuality) they slap on black make up around their eyes sometimes to compensate for their naturally black eyes from blowing bong hits in their iguanas face. listen to songs satanically, suicidally or basically constipated singer orientated and should all wake the hell up and realise individuality and not carin what anyone thinks aint supposed to be done by dressing like a zombie, but wearing what u REALLY want to wear and realising that not ALL people who listen to rap are scum and rap songs are just as meaningless as such metal hits as "rape me" and stab me with a hatpin".
