Often shortened to CPPS, these servers frequently contain custom items, rooms, or other features not present in the original game. While they first became popular in 2010, their popularity increased following the Club Penguin's discontinuation in 2017 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Notable CPPSs, operating and defunct, include Club Penguin Rewritten (2017-2022), Club Penguin Online (2017-2020), New Club Penguin (2020-present), and Club Penguin Journey (2023-2024, 2024-present).
