This isn't luck at all, but more of an attitiude, a positive look at a bad situation.
The Irish didn't survive a potato famine, and being treated as 3rd class citizens upon their arrival to the U.S. (til the mid-late 1900's)by not having a positive outlook and a great sense of humor!

A string of resoundingly bad luck ranging in duration from a few hours to an entire lifetime. Although the exact causes of Brown Luck have yet to be determined, genetic factors seem to play a prominent role. Similar to being shit out of luck, but experienced over a much longer period of time.
His week wasn't going very well. His bike had been stolen, he'd misplaced his keys, the pop machine ate his quarter. He was suffering from Brown luck.

A party modeled after a pot luck, only instead of each person bringing a food dish, they each bring a 26 of booze and mix. Everyone puts their booze on a table and anyone can drink whatever they want.
