Basically an illusion. People say they're popular just to get attention and make themselves seem better than they actually are. These "popular" people will throw parties and wear expensive clothing to look "cool" Stupid people who also want attention and to seem better will start worshiping them.

A term used to describe a girl, usually a cheerleader, who gives blowjobs to a large amount of men. Popular girls can be easily determined by the abundance of white stuff on or around the lips, cheeks, and eyes. After being found to be popular, they can be called ms. popular.

A.K.A popularity
One or ones who are in very high status at their respective School, College, Sork, or other "group". Being popular can be based on many different things, sometimes looks or other superfical qualities though rarely can be because they get along with most people in their respective areas. May or may not be snobby, slutty, pretty, mean, or blonde (j/k)...^_^...There are different meanings of popular and anyone can be popular in his/her respective friends/areas
1.)I am popular at such and such High
2.)I am the (beloved) leader within my group of friends/work/other a.k.a i am (popular) with them
P.S. this doesn't work if you are hated..You maybe the head but honey you (excuse the expression) Ain't popular...We secretly hate your guts...

Popularity means that you are liked by lots of people. you are nice to then and you look good. so you'll be attractive for everyone. you don't need to be perfect. just be self-confidence and love yourself. 'when people see that you will be liked be lots of people.. ->

generally means your liked by a lot of people. i know the media and highschool films depict popular folks as being utter bitches or conceited jackasses, but it can sometimes be true. Take my school: A few kids are actually really scary and (possibly) violent. They've got friends or members of their "crew" and others in our year are "friends" with their gang because they're scared of getting beaten up. Even though this huge gang are supposed to be all friends they still tend to bitch about each other (which i can never understand). BUT...some of them can actually be quite nice when you catch them on their own, which brings me to say that this type of "popularity" is really a great big show to try and quell their own lack of self-esteem by being superior and stuck-up-their-own-ass. I could easily have done that, but i never took drama for a reason :)
i might not have been "popular" with everyone in general, but i have close friends, and i'm popular within that group. wow go me
