The best band ever and despite contrary belief, a very talented and succesful band.
Their name is a deliberate misspeling of a famous monument where they grew up.
Before Linkin Park signed with warner brothers they were known as Hybrid Theory because of their hybrid between rap, rock and elctronica. This is now the name of their first released album.
Before the band Hybrid Theory there was Xero which was more focused on Hip Hop.
They play to real life problems and put on the best live show ive ever seen at download 07.
Their latest album, Minutes to midnight, wasnt as good as their other albums but still, its brilliant.
So far they are the only band to have successfully combine three styles as different as rap, rock and elctronica and appeal to most audiences.
The band consists of:

they take a very long time to think of songs and lyrics, if you dont belive me, just look at reanimation...its the second album which does nothing but remake their past songs by rearranging their lyrics a bit and make it seem like the cd is skipping....really, really, bad way to make a second cd...im sorry

Linkin Park are the best band ever! I am completely obsessed, I think all the members are really talented. Also they are NOT an emo band! My fave member is Mike, he's really talented as he can sing, rap and do guitar and keyboard, oh and paint :D
All the people that have made entries calling Linkin Park crap or other lies need to get a life. It's sad to go to the trouble to write an essay about a band you don't even like. You aren't going to achieve anything. It's not like all LP's fans are gonna see some sad person complaining about them and suddenly stop being a fan. People need to think about what they are doing before they waste 5 minutes of their life.

A band who incorporates a wide range of genres into their music such as rock, hip-hop, and electronica. They have sold millions of records worldwide and had jusr recently gone diamond on their hit album "Hybrid Theory".

One of the latest pop sensations. Linkin park are not dissimilar to other boy bands like the backstreet boys. All of their songs are about their parents in one way or another and how they are so angry at them. Their genre has been called such things as rock metal rap ect, however they have started a reasonably new genre called angry parent rock because all they do is scream about their parents.
The fans of these bands 14 year old skanks and boys of all ages because they think its hardcore alternative shit. In defense of liking this utter tripe they say things like 'each to their own' and "if you don’t like it shut the fuck up" This is expected from Linkin Park fans because it is generic and they have no mind of their own just like the band they blindly worship.

pioneers of a new form of metal (nu) and possibly one of the least emo metal bands out there. they use rap to appeal to most people. they dont sing about sad love songs and killing people (songs no1 cares about)and i can relate to alot of the songs. specially when im pissed at some1. i <33 linkin park

The greatest band to ever exist to date... imagine.. six geniuses working together as one amazing musical machine... writing songs over 6 six years ... tearing apart songs from scratch only to tear them down again just to get the best possible songs... re-writing a chorus 40 times... having two vocalists ... one who can play almost every string and wind instrument on the planet, not to mention being an amazing classical composer and pianist ... producing music and incorporating violas and cellos... now picture a second vocalist with a childhood that would make most people shudder ... picture him with such vocal capacity that allows him to sing softly and with perfectly harmony.. before screaming with three notes at the same time and summing up in his rage the feelings of millions of unknown people ... then imagine the guitarist, striking out power cords, running his fingers decorated with black nail polish down the neck of the guitar ... and the bassist who stands tall and proud adding an ominous sound... underneath it all are amazing rhythmic beats supplied by the drummer who's energy will amaze you.. and at the top, is the DJ who had his own spins and scratches and subtle sounds that shake your soul ... this is Linkin Park who's music emanates energy.. who's lyrics fill your soul ... Linkin Park is six ordinary guys with unsurpassable talent ... they care about their fans, they develop the Linkin Park Underground (75 000+ members worldwide) to connect to their fans.. giving free LPU tours only available to club members ... that's dedication... THAT is the true meaning of ::Linkin Park::
