A place that's now more of a hell hole than a website. It seemed somewhat harmless when I first joined (2010/2011) but now from what I see, 90% of it is filled with hateful assholes who think they're changing the world for the better and the entire world is America (plus have a pathetic victim complex). My dash was filled with cats, nutella, and bands, and I still see that once in a blue moon. Now it's privileged teenagers and other SJWs (social justice warriors) all participating in the oppression olympics and make actual activists look bad.
person #1: *makes a text post that rants about some social injustice, including facts that are inaccurate and/or biased, and their argument is supposed to appeal to your emotions or make you feel guilty somehow* *gains lots of attention*
person #2 (a very brave soul on tumblr): *disagrees with the first person's post, or tries to correct some of their facts, and defends their position with facts from a reliable source and valid reasoning while trying to be as civil as possible*
person #1: OMG NO YOU ARE WRONG BECAUSE MY FEELINGS ARE HURT. PLEASE DIE. YOU ARE DEFINITELY A CIS WHITE MAN BECAUSE YOU DISAGREED WITH ME. STOP OPPRESSING ME.

A mystical place originally created for sharing pretty pictures. Now, it is overrun with fandom blogs run by (usually) teenage girls obsessed with fictional characters and actors old enough to be their fathers. This website also serves as a place for people to share their complete and utter apathy towards everything. Lastly, some people go on tumblr to pose serious philosophical questions. (Examples: Does bread care what kind of a sandwich you make it into? What if birds aren't singing and their screaming because they're afraid of heights? What if nipples grow faces when you're asleep and when you wake up in the middle of the night it's because they were talking too loudly?)
Normal Person: Oh, yeah, I have a tumblr!
Fangirling Blogger: There are people who have a tumblr, and people who HAVE A TUMBLR.

Tumblr is a place for 'cool', 'different' people to come and be 'cool' and 'different'. They like to moan about how they have issues with their love lives, even if they're only 14 and haven't ever been in love. On Tumblr you have to be either tragic, emo, scene kid or vintage. Essentially they're all pretentious losers who take pictures of their feet on beaches, love hearts, themselves reading or writing, or pictures of Starbucks. Refer to the: 'Dickhead song' On Youtube for a better grasp of a Tumblr person's real life. They pretend they have problems and post pictures of them cutting themselves, then they claim they're not just doing it for attention. While a normal person may be like: 'Oh I like this, but I'll keep that to myself because not everyone has to know this rather unusual fact about me', Tumblr whores are like: 'I LIKE THIS AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS. IT IS WHAT CREATES ME!' They write shitty poems, love songs and post crappy drawings. All they do on Tumblr is whine, tell people not to talk about Tumblr (possessive bitches), post their running jokes, blog pictures of hot guys from emo bands, talk about screamo (you're not allowed to like other types of music and you MUST rave on about how much you like Screamo and how you've been judged about it your whole life), reblog every single pretentious or cute thing that comes their way. Individual and feel the need to shove it down your throat. Tumblr...for pretentious losers.

Tumblr Person: OMG I LOVE THIS BAND. I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYBODY ELSE THINKS, SO FUCK YOU HATERS!

it is the easiest way to blog. A blog site where you can post stolen pictures and claim it as your own. Most of them get annoyed with hipsters and deny the fact that their hipsters which makes them hipsters. They post indie and underground stuff such as headless black and white picture of a runway dress, gifs and pictures of themselves taken from a webcam, models, indie and underground bands such as pink floyd, joy division, etc, andy warhol, kurt cobain, cats, sex, weed, depressive quotes, pixelated texts, screencaps with deep subtitles, lesbians, gays, tumblr memes and faces such as the Y U NO guy, Ragetoon, LOL, and etc., and many more;

A stupid place where teenage girls go to post pictures with random with text that is totally unrelated to the photo they posted. Most of the pictures and text are related to love, but not the happy kind, like sad "emo" quotes and pictures of girls crying in random places and couples making out.
