Radical Democracy

Wherein you claim to want others to have so much freedom and choice that you force it upon them at the point of a rifle or tank barrel whether they want it or not. Thus also ensuring that their "choices" are the same as yours (you wouldn't want any pesky surprise outcomes after all).

We liberated the country and through radical democracy we installed a new (temporary) government that at least some of the population have heard of and at least some even voted for.

Radical democracy, for when you don't like the outcomes of traditional democracy.

representative democracy

A very funny joke involving freedoms, with millions of servile people involved in the punchline.

Ex, The United States of America is a representative democracy.

Chinese Democracy

A synonym for something that is anticipated and anticipated for years to come, then finally when it comes out, people become ecstatic but then are disappointed when they find out they were waiting years and years for something that is complete shit.

I waited forever to graduate, but after I left school and ended up at a dead-end job flipping hamburgers to pay the rent of a small Detroit apartment infested with fleas, I realized graduation was just Chinese Democracy.

Virtual Democracy

A form of alleged democracy containing all the superficial trappings of democratic institutions which, rather than being responsive to the needs and desires of the citizenry, has become subservient to the requirements of a small and powerful minority due to the concentration of wealth and political power. This form of faux democracy exists throughout much of today's western democracies.

In a virtual democracy changes in the ruling party rarely lead significant policy changes or improvement for the citizenry.

Brought Democracy To

Doing horrible on something to the point of failure. Usually reserved for things that are kind of a big deal.

Friend: "I did horrible on that final"
Me: "I know what you mean, I pretty much brought democracy to it."
