Term used by Fox News, which is really false advertising. When they sued Al Franken over ownership of said phrase, they were basically laughed out of court.

Small town in bergen county,North Jersey.
Fair Lawn is an upper middle class town, most people that live in Fair Lawn are Jewish, or a combo of Italian/German/Dutch/Irish/Polish. In the winter Fair Lawnians go sleding on middle school hills. In the summer Fair Lawnians migrate to memorial pool. Fair Lawn is between 5-15 minutes away from The Bergan Mall, The Paramus Park Mall, The Graden State Plaza, and Willobrook Mall. Fair Lawn is also 20 minutes from NYC.
New things about Fair lawn include:
Panera Bread.
Addition to FLHS.
New Rec center.
Fair Lawn is famous for:
-Club C.
-The Guerreri brothers.
-The worst highschool football team on the eastern seaboard. "go cutters
-Thet amount of Jewish people
-The only town whos school dont get off when EVERYONE else does.
I just got back from the Garden State Plaza, and went to Club C, in Fair Lawn. When I drove around dunkin donuts one of the Guerreri brothers raced me. They won.

A media term. An ideal which all newspapers, TV stations and other media should aspire too. This means giving equal air time column inches etc to all sides of the arguement. However in the world of commercial media cartels this ideal is sacrificed on the alter of the profit margin, political influence and self interest.
These days to gain a fair and balanced view of current events it is best to source your news from a number of different sources that offer as wider range of opinions as possible and make your own mind up.

Fair Witness is a fictional profession invented by Robert Heinlein. (Stranger in a Strange Land)
A Fair Witness is an individual trained to observe events and report exactly what he or she sees and hears, making no extrapolations or assumptions. An eidetic memory is a prerequisite for the job, although this may be attainable with suitable training.
In Heinlein's society, a Fair Witness is a highly reputable source of information. By custom, a Fair Witness acting professionally, generally wearing distinctive white robes, is never addressed directly, and is never acknowledged by anyone present.
While Fair Witnesses may hold jobs, at all times they must honor the traditions of the Fair Witness and do their best to avoid any possibility of bias when wearing the robes and repeating the truth of what they have seen, done or heard.
Fair Witnesses are prohibited from drawing conclusions about what they observe. As a demonstration, in the novel a Fair Witness was asked to describe the color of a house in the distance. She responds, "It's white on this side"; whereupon Heinlein explains that she would not assume knowledge of the color of the other sides of the house without being able to see them. Furthermore, after observing another side of the house she would not then assume that any previously seen side was still the same color as last reported, even if only minutes before.
You can trust what he says. He's the closest thing to a "fair witness" of anybody I've ever known.
