John lennon syndrome is when a dumbass thinks they’re concerned about peace and social issues and believe they are in touch with nature when in reality they just say the n word, smoke weed, throw a bunch of hindu and buddhist imagery together and call it “inner peace,” and don’t shower. People who are angry at John Lennon, famous Beatles member.
Reasons for this hate might be anger at his (seemingly) liberal attitude to everything, his anti-establishmentism or just haters of his music. The reason is usually political though.
He was very much against religion which made a lot of people angry at him. Of course, this is hypocritical since he says he's so "liberal", yet he wants to force people to believe what he wants by removing religion.
Some people therefore are not angry at him for being against religion, or for his political beliefs, but for his hypocritical attitude to things

John Lennon haters, first arrived on a space ship, in the 1960's, when The Beatles were at the height of Beatlemania. after John Lennon's Jesus comment, more of these Douches came. These people began to dislike him because of his witty humor, and the image of them they saw in there heads. they also saw him as a man who used Paul McCartney's fame.

Usually an older person. One who, when younger, engaged in the exact opposite of what he talks about and believes now. Former Libertarian now Liberal and anti-gun (even though once owned half a dozens or so), blames the NRA for gun violence (former NRA member), former Che Guevara shirt wearer in University until he got older and realized he wasn't all that cool, a Marxist who denies he is one, a heavy consumer of all things manufactured when young but who now has become more frugal and now says that consuming has caused Global Warming (now Climate Change and soon to become Global Cooling, again),, etc. I could go on, but why? In short, he's a HYPOCRITE who now bad mouths the very things he used to do when young and who doesn't want the younger generations to live as he did when younger.
Wow, how he's changed. Sort of like the turnaround of John Lennon after he met Yoko Ono. Indeed he now suffers from JLS (John Lennon Syndrome)
