dog sorry

To apologise insincerely to appease someone in the short term, in the way that a dog will look submissive while being scolded but will repeat the same behaviour again once their owner has gone.

I sent a complaint and they wrote back with an apology, but they were just dog sorry as it happened again a week later!

Sorry Mickey!

A sarcastic way of saying sorry, when you really don't mean it, and everyone knows that you don't mean it. More effective when said in a sweet, high-pitched voice and accompanied by a shrug and a smile.

"Hey, you ate all the chips!" "Sorry Mickey!"
