In a discussion, the act of threatening to call another person in an attempt to get the other person to retract their story (often an uncreative, mostly unsuccessful, last ditch attempt for the threatening party).
James: Hey, so i got into an argument with my girlfriend and tried Phone-Baiting her.
Tom: Aww, dude. That's lame. Did it work?
James: Nope. She did leave me though.
A bait thread is an online forum post or thread designed to provoke a reaction. related to trolling.

When a person, typically a content creator plays loud sounds/screams and does frequent jump cuts to appeal to a younger audience.

When someone uses a person in order to screw a girl. The 2nd person might or might not be an acquaintance of that girl, and he acts as a lure/trap.

'Idiot bait' is used to lure in unsuspecting idiots, zapping them as soon as they click Record Entire Series on their Tivo, in order to remove them from the population. 'Idiot bait' is a population control method endorsed by President George W. Bush.
Person 1: Did you see that new show on television with Lindsay Lohan's mom? It looks like a car wreck.
Person B: Yeah, be careful with that. I think it's idiot bait. Your Tivo might zap you.
