other than being a word describing something that relates to sound, it’s a purposely misspelt version of ‘autistic’ that some stupid fucks say (usually online) on videos of being cringey, stupid, etc. People w/o a sense of humour do this because they 1. saw everyone else doing it and thought it was funny (its not, every time you see one of those comments you’re lying down being a lazy fuck an don’t laugh or smile at all because its overused, unfunny and offensive) 2. think that autistic is an insult or adjective because they’re uneducated and learnt everything off tiktok. Or even more commonly, 3. a combination of 1 & 2
its not fucking funny and it never was, use words for their actual meanings. and if u are going to replace words with others that sound similar make it make it sense. autistic is not an insult, dont try and cover up ableism by saying ‘acoustic, restarted, artistic 🤓’ shut the fuck up you have no personality and are uneducated as hell. next time if you want to be funny, come up with something that is NOT 🚫 offensive 🚫 and IS ✅ original ✅
dont forget if there weren’t so many stupid people who made the phrase ‘popular’, it makes you look dumb as fuck. even w/o it being trendy you still look dumb as fuck- take a step back and look at what ur actually writing- and the comments that have 14k likes that say the same thing. how many times did you audibly laugh at that joke? chances are none. dont make fun of something you clearly dont know shit about
correct use: the auditorium had wonderful acoustics
(very) incorrect use: “why did he do that? is he acoustic?”

in newer internet terms, referring to someone with a learning disability, such as autism or ADHD, or someone who is showing traits of a learning disability. usually, acuoustic is us derogatorily.
Person 1: Look at Maxwell, he's so weird when he flaps his hands like that.
Person 2: He's so acoustic.
OR
Person 1: I have a lot of trouble with loud noises and stuff. I get all reserved and stressed.
Person 2: Dude, that's so acoustic...
The meaning of "acoustic" in slang is another way of saying autistic, without actually saying the word. So when someone asks if a person is "acoustic" they're asked if that person is autistic. Or if someone says "You're so acoustic" they mean "You're so autistic/weird" Or in other words, sped.
"Is Samuel acoustic?"
"He acts so acoustic"
"You're so acoustic"
Acoustic quite simply mean autistic without necessarily wanting to offend the person
Is it acoustic?
Nah hes acoustic
A online term typically used to refer to an autistic person, commonly in a condescending or derogatory manner. People often use that word, as well as “restarted”, in place of the R slur. Some autistic people may be irritated by use of these words to describe them if they post something featuring them displaying their autistic traits, so try not to use that word if you do not know how the person will react. (I say this as an autistic person myself.)
E.G: “If someone calls me “Acoustic” again, I’m going to punch them in the face.”
“(Typically commented on a video of someone ‘acting autistic’) omg is it acoustic????”
