Suit Speak

Words used by corporate heavies or upper management "Suits" to confuse, convince, intimidate, or otherwise baffle an office drone or "associate" into compliance. Sentences are riddled with buzzwords. Suit Speak is a kind of capitalist/office version of Orwellian "double speak". Words are made overtly complicated and then sanitized so that unpleasant matters can be discussed and disguised in a "politically correct" falsely optimistic way.

Associate A: "Man, there was a lot of suit speak at that meeting. You think anyone knows we're all going to fired in a week or so?"

Associate B: "What do you mean? I thought we were all being paid to engage in aggressive retraining opportunities so the company can refocus on cost effective outsourcing? I want to be a value oriented thought leader so I can embrace the new partner championed fiscal re-evaluation. That's good, right?"

Associate A: "Dude! Use your head... Get your resume ready."

Trump-Speak

An unintelligible, Presidential dialect in which otherwise meaningful words are confidently transformed into utter gibberish.

What does 'foisfered' mean?
What do 'leightweight, Rupublicans, infair, prople, wonerful, councel, covfefe' mean?
Oh, that's just Trump-Speak--doesn't mean anything...

speaking in tongues

term for a phenomenon which today is better known as "automatic" or "unconscious" talking. The person who "speaks in tongues" is unaware of what he says, he could talk in a foreign or made-up language, or fall back into speech patterns of his childhood.

Is mostly induced
by either psychoactive drugs (e.g. opium, lsd, psilocybin, mescaline) or a deep hypnotic trance.

Spectator: "They are speaking in tongues!"

leet speak

When the 1st l33t sp34k hit the scene in the very early 80's it didn't use all the annoying ?|}{)\ and crap they put as subs for letters today. It just occasionally subbed some numbers for letters so that normal searches and bots, ect. would not pick up the pattern. It has been changed into something entirely stupid and unreadable by wannabe, lazy kids today. Same with lol and rotflmao and such. Been around since 300 baud n00bs.....

If j00 w3r3 r34lly l33t j00d kn0w it n00b.

This sentence would have been a bit overkill even then for leet speak. Most would have written it like:

If you w4s l33t u'd kn0w noob.....

thought speak

Originating in animorphs thought speak is the ability to communicate with others by settling your message into another's mind. Capable of communicating over range and does not require line of sight. Thought speak can also be public, broadcasted to all in range, or private, sent to only one person or a small group of people.

Textual occurrences of thought speak are indicated with angled brackets, see example.

<I'm using thought speak>
"Whoa, who said that, its almost like the message appeared in my head..."
<It's thought speak, dumbass>
