Text Math

When you subtract the time between their message and your response so as to avoid the following: seeming desperate, sounding actually upset at them, desperate, glad that someone cared enough to respond to you, desperate, and to avoid sounding desperate.

Text math is done in a number of scenarios such as during arguments with your soon-to-be ex, your parents when you're drunk, or with that co-worker when you aren't sure how exactly they got your number.

I have my response, but I need to wait 7 minutes to send it according to my text math.

International Rule of Math

The rule in Mathematics which states that whatever operation is done to one side of the vernacular, must be done to the other side. This rule was created by Andrew Warren in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

"I don't want this number her, can I just erase it? No, I must use the International rule of math"

A Pi-Free Math Book

The mathematical equivalent of a meeting-free day or passport-less travel. When the sight of the symbol π is enough to trigger panic or paranoia among billions of folks worldwide, who think they weren’t born or blessed with the “math gene.”

Just as a math book without equations or formulas could raise the sales figures by a few folds, a pi-free math book could give thousands of math-anxious folks more confidence in picking up a pop math book without feeling unduly stressed.

Beer coaster maths

It is associated with basic/rough figures traditionally done on the back of a beer coaster at a pub while drinking.

An example might be mates working out the cost of a fishing trip, so "Fuel will be about $100, bait about $50, accom about $200 and good about $200". So rough/approximate figures.

According to my beer coaster maths, it would be about $500. But if you want a more accurate number I'd obviously have to look it up, speak to the suppliers etc.
