F-arts

pronounced as 'farts'

This word stands for "f**king arts"

They are basically just some fan arts of characters but extra cringe for some reasons i.e. thirsty/s3xy arts, very ugly drawing style, furries

The character also looks like they smell like farts

John: Have you checked my Instagram post? I just made a fanart of my favourite Waifu! She's so hot, right?

David: Yeah you made some nasty f-arts

Good Art Has No Excuses

A saying which states that one artist (a writer, painter, author, musician, etc.) should be allowed to only make art for himself and not for random people he doesn't know, but should keep in mind that it should not excuse him from making poor quality art.

As a writer, I only write for myself and not random strangers who read my novels, but that doesn't excuse me from writing good quality books. Every artist should know that good art has no excuses. Ever.

pop art

An artistic movement that started in the UK in the 1950s that represents familiar pop culture iconography, especially brand related, in a medium of ‘high art’ like painting or sculpture. Playing with the idea of what ‘art’ truly is. A marble statue of a Dalek or a portrait of a bottle of Coca-cola would both be considered works of ‘pop art’.

“This painting of Superman is a true work of pop art.”
