He's a nice guy

You really don't have anything to say about him.

Bob: How do you like your roommate?
John: I mean... he's a nice guy..

Nice guy act

When a guy who is a douchebag to everyone turns into a nice guy around parents, teachers, or people of authority.

I can't believe she likes him! He is such a jerk! He is totally pulling the nice guy act on her.

He always gets his homework done and his nice to the teacher, but we all know that he is a dick and its just the nice guy act.

angry nice guy

There are more angry nice guys than we'd like to admit, hence this issue deserves a definition.

Its a nice guy who isn't perceived as nice by his surroundings, for the sole reason of being angry. Might be a transitional stage from being a nice guy to assholery. The reasons for anger are multiple - ranging from plain rejection to disliking of whats going on in the world to observing general flaws in human nature and relationships. Symptomes include:
- angry/non-calm complexion
- lack of motivation
- has a high value for truth and expects the same from others
- upon meeting a girl, he will be always polite and try to be a gentleman
- when she tries to take advantage of it, he will break all contact with her. And then the cycle repeats with another woman
- ignored by most women, for the reason below:

women are unable to decide whether he is a "nice guy" (who would do anything to please the woman and get burned in the process) or a "regular asshole" (who treats the woman badly, and who is recognized by her as THE MAN). Neither does the "angry nice guy" fall into the middle category of guys (which is considered to be ideal, as the guy will respect and care for his woman, while maintaining authority in the relationship). As women are too lazy to over-analyze this, they give up and move on to find someone more simple to understand - a nice guy or an asshole.

In sum, even though an "angry nice guy" has more dignity than a nice guy, he is still a nice guy to the core. The only difference is that he is not getting any ass, and more honest than the nice guy.

Emily met an angry nice guy, which she thought at first was a nice guy. But then she saw that he didnt LOOK so happy (as he didnt like to smile and used bad words often), yet acted nice around her. Becoming very confused, she suspected he was really a pretending asshole and has moved on.

Nice Guy Syndrome

A annoying mental condition in which a heterosexual man concocts over simplified ideas why women aren’t flocking to him in droves. Typically this male will whine and complain about how women never want to date them because he is β€œtoo nice” or that he is average in appearance. He often targets a woman who is already in a relationship; misrepresenting his intentions of wanting to be her friend and having the expectation that he is owed more than friendship because he is such a good listener. He is prone to brooding over this and passive aggressive behavior.

He is too stupid to realize the reason women don’t find him attractive is because he feels sorry for himself, he concludes that women like to be treated like shit.

Nice Guy Syndrome is one reason why I don't try to make friends with heterosexual men.

Men who suffer from NGS vary from the angst filled teenager with no date on friday night to the 49 year old man who has never been married or had a meaningful relationship with a woman.

nice guy speech

Generally, a lie a woman tells a guy when she doesn't want anything to with him. Usually performed after the guy tries to 'court' the woman.

Usually followed up by "I'm not looking for anyone right now," but can be seen dating/fucking other guys seconds later.

Generally, this is just a way women try to pacify men but usually just infuriates them.

Joey: "Hey, Jenny. I really like you a lot, would you go out with me sometime?"

Johnny: "Look, Johnny. You're a really nice guy but I think we should just be friends. I just got out of a really bad relationship and don't want to date yet."

Seconds later

Joey: "Wait!? Is Jenny having sex with Dean in my car?!"

nice guy syndrome

A nice guy is an informal term for an often young adult male who portrays himself with characteristics such as being gentle, compassionate, sensitive and vulnerable. The term is used both positively and negatively. When used positively, and particularly when used as a preference or description by someone else, it is intended to imply a male who puts the needs of others before his own, avoids confrontations, does favors, gives emotional support, tries to stay out of trouble, and generally acts nicely towards others. In the context of a relationship, it may also refer to traits of honesty, loyalty, romanticism, courtesy, and respect. When used negatively, a nice guy implies a male who is unassertive, does not express his true feelings and, in the context of dating in which the term is often used, dishonestly uses acts of ostensible friendship and basic social etiquette with the unstated aim of progressing to a romantic or sexual relationship.

nice guy syndrome: in the early 90s I had a crisis. I was about two years into my second marriage. I thought I had found the woman of my dreams. Yet I was frequently frustrated and resentful toward the woman I loved.
