Urban Content Guidelines

Write for a large audience. When defining a word, make sure to provide enough context for other people to understand what it means and how it’s typically used. Need a little help? Look to our Word of the Day for some examples.
Be creative. Some of the best definitions on Urban Dictionary find humorous ways to poke fun at authority, or put a clever twist on current events. Some of them are just straight up weird. We’re okay with that.
Have fun. We are not a traditional dictionary. This is a place where language has a little more space to be explored and constructed freely, in the moment.
🛑
Don’t post personal information. That includes obvious things like last names and addresses, but we will also remove definitions containing first names or user handles if they can be used to identify and target specific individuals for harassment.
Don’t be an asshole. We are okay with people defining offensive words. After all, people use offensive words in the real world and a resource for understanding what those words mean can be valuable. However, we are not—and never will be—okay with people using a definition to harass, discriminate, and/or directly incite violence against others.
If you notice anything on Urban Dictionary that you believe falls outside of these guidelines, please flag it for review.

Winter of dick's content

1. (n.) A period during which sexual intercourse is freely available; sometimes used with a male personal pronoun i.e. 'winter of my/his dick's content'.

Derives from the so-called 'winter of discontent' in 1978/9 when then Prime Minister of England, James Callaghan, was perceived as having let trade union negotiations break down.

'I've just met this new girl. Total nymph: wants to do it in the Folk Music section at HMV. Now is definitely the winter of my dick's content'.

'God, I just got back from hers. Is there any ice in the freezer? It may be the winter of my dick's content but I'm as sore as a sailor in a nunnery'.

Value driven content

A very very useful phrase, especially in the context of a business negotiation. Typically, the following issues should be addressed when determining the implementation of value driven content:

- Will it effectively help my readers with their jobs?
- Is it educational and not too self-serving?
- Does it make sense coming from us?
- Can we handle inquiries about this topic?
- Does it solve a problem for our customers?
- Is it something of interest to our customers, given their job position?
- Is the content practical enough to use right away?
- Will this position our company as experts?

When talking about value driven content, your words will have more credibility if you are also a wanker, and like to pull down your pants and bend over for company executives.

Hey, John, I have drawn up a proposal to increase this project's value driven content. Do you want to book a private meeting room to discuss?

Consistent content trap

A case where, on YouTube, for an extended period of time, you create the same type of content to the point where it permanently becomes associated with your channel and trying something new will almost always lead to underperformance as fans are only following you because of your old consistent content.

Term coined by PosiDon, subscribe to his channel.

EnchantedMob fell into the consistent content trap with their FNaF and Bendy music animations.
