Picking The Apples

A term used in drag meaning to slay your performance, work the croud, and (hopefully) plow the whole damn orchard!

When neither team is favored. Also called a "pick" in sports betting terms.

v. To choose between one of a multitude of options. Often used as an imperative, with the addendum "and fuck it."

Tom--"We have three urgent deadlines on Friday and I'm not sure which project to attack first."

Hot Pick

"Hot Pick" is a phrase coined by a genius to exemplify the act of making a decision that is downright spectacular. This phrase originated from sports betting where the executor of the hot pick made a successful bet usually against the odds. For example during the Super Bowl XLIV between the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, the heavily favored Colts gave up -6 pts. A hot pick during this particular game was picking the Saints to win outright without any spread.

"Hot Pick" or the act of "Hot Picking" is loosely used in describing picking good restaurants to eat at, seeing beautiful girls, making good decisions in life, finances, and/or friendships.

1. Good pick on those carna asada fries, that shit was a hot pick.

pick me

A pick me is a woman that is willing to do anything for male approval. She will embarrass or throw other women under the bus to achieve this goal. The unfortunate thing about a pick me is usually the men they are trying to seek approval from are of poor quality and treat women badly, leaving little real benefit for the pick me
