An individual, who attempts to engage others socially, however cannot muster the wherewithal to keep the interaction going. Typically this person may approach you at say, a bar or your place of work, and start a conversation with you. After you respond, this individual may display the following behaviors:
-they give a quick one word response and proceed to stare at you silently
-they don't respond at all, instead they stand in place and nervously look around while whispering to themselves
-they take a deep breath having accomplished social interaction, yet not knowing what to do next, stand there and rub their hands on their pants while looking at you.
co-worker: "Hey, you! How was your weekend?"
you: "Pretty good! Watched the big game, hung out with some friends, kinda lulled around the house...you?"
co-worker: "good"...................(looks as if they will keep talking, but instead proceeds to stare at you silently. Now they stand in place looking around the room whispering to themselves......they take a deep breath....exhale....smacks their lips...goes back to silently staring at you. Rubs their hands on their pants.....still staring...nearly a minute has passed)
you: "Hey. Awkward Timmy...anything else I can help you with?"
co-worker: "nope-seeyalater." (quickly exits)
That awkward moment when you realise & accept that you have a crush on/fancy someone who you reeeeeeaaalllllyy shouldn't, ie a teacher or a member of your best mates' family. Similar to but not the same as crushing on a celebrity... With celebrities it's usually fine, but with teachers...
People experiencing Awkward Infatuation are often between the ages of 11 & 18, & common signs are wanting to impress them, either excessively talkative /shy around them, wanting to always be near or around them, overly looking forward to seeing them & to some extent maybe feeling a certain amount of sexual attraction to said person.
When/if said person finds out (& you usually hope they never do) they may be fine with it but most often they will feel embarrassed & will shun any further contact with you.
Girl: OMG I think i may have an Awkward Infatuation with our French teacher, he is really hot & so funny!
Friend: So that's why you spend so much time around him then. Give the poor guy a break he must be sick of you by now. You practically live in that classroom.

An awkward avocado is similar to an awkward turtle, a hand gesture used to either diffuse or make a social situation awkward.
Simply clasp both hands together (with a slight outward curvature in the palm and fingers, creating the desired avocado shape) and move your hands in outwards circular motions (directed away from the body).
Thus creating the awkward avocado. Experienced users may attempt the awkward half-avocado, but this should be reserved for drastic situations only.

An "o" gesture made with your hand using all four fingers and thumb, the awkward hole is used following an awkward comment/suggestion/situation/motion that usually brings silence to a conversation. The Awkward hole is there to suck all the awkwardness away from the moment and let fresh topic commence.

Rob: Oh Dear (Looks at CJ and then Awkward Hole Gesture)

some new facebook fad where someone will put on their wall starting with that awkward moment and often times following it with something thats not awkward at all
