Cuffing Season

Usually the colder months; i.e. fall or winter, when new relationships start and old relationships turn into engagements. The persons in said relationships are "cuffed", meaning that they no longer seek non-platonic relationships with others.

1) I have lost count of the number of friends getting engaged. Cuffing season has begun.

2) "Are you single?" "Not for long. It's cuffing season."

silly season

A term for the period in the year where the media/press (particularly newspapers, tabloids) do not have enough articles to fill the paper/schedule, and so resort to unverifiable, trivial, irrelevant, stupid or hoax stories. Phrase used particularly in British satire.

When reading a newspaper: "'Buckingham Palace corridors are fitted with traffic lights to stop staff bumping into the Queen?' Must be silly season again."

"Bebo tries to beam messages to Earth-like planet"

Slump Season

Slump season is a stage of minimal consciousness in one's day. Slump season is the name for the final minutes of one's day where their social battery and brain power are at an all-time low. Words are slurred, sentences are meaningless or even gibberish. Those in a stage of "Slump" could be mistaken as high or mentally disabled, and should not indulge in any activities requiring consciousness or intelligence (driving, writing a test, cooking food, etc.). Victims of "Slump Season" will often mimic the tonality and language of "Minions". Individuals in a stage of 100% Slump will completely open up and become engrossed in themes of sexuality and sensuality, snuggling and cuddling, and music/song dialogue.

Bradley: "oooooh bob, bob! I'm so snuggly and cuddly right now. uhhhhhh gawwwwd I feel so sensual and loose...
Person 1: "Yo, why does Bradley sound brain dead? He won't stop mimicking the minions and talking about "snuggling"
Person 2: Oh, this happens every single night before he goes to bed. He's in Slump Season. His Slump level must be between 95 and 100% .
