There are many kinds of alternative swearwords, they are used for many reasons ranging from you don't want to get in trouble to you wanna look cool in front of your friends. Some examples: (note to add "er" or "ing" or whatever on the end use appropiate)
Fuck = Funk
Shit = Shnizz, Shizz, Shnizzle
Dick = Dink
Twat = Twit
Piss = Wizz

Adult Alternative

Adult Alternative; See "Adult Contemporary".

This is basically the same stuff as Adult Contemporary.

Again, these are watered-down blah tunes for those who wish to think they're just too darn mature to listen to some good music and/or are afraid of offending someone by playing something more hip.

Can be viewed on VH1 or heard on your local easy-listening station.

The musicians of Adult Alternative bands are said by some to be down-to-earth individuals who dress modestly and are the kind you'd run into in a supermarket.

Sad...

Bands such as Coldplay, U2, Nickleback, Lifehouse, Maroon 5, Dave Matthews Band, etcetera fall under the Adult Alternative genre.

These bands and this music are NOT to be confused with actual genre known as "Alternative," nor should it be confused with Grunge or Indie music.

soft alternative

An alternative rock genre that's quieter than normal alternative rock. Kind of like Hard Alternative(or Alternative Metal) that's louder than normal Alternative rock. Bands like Bastille, Mumford and Sons and Bleachers. Soft Alternative generally leans more toward folk rock, synthpop, new wave and pop rock than hard rock and metal like Hard Alternative.

Soft Alternative is really popular in the 2010's.
