A game played by some EBayers, in which you pump the bid of a normally-priced item to ludicrous prices (often in the hundreds of thousands) while trying to avoid being the one that ends up with the final bid, and thus having to pay the over-inflated price.
Hmm, there's no bids on that item! Why don't we have a game of EBay Roulette?

If a person has ebay-fu, they have mastered the art of ebay, able to get whatever they want, by bidsniping auctions or finding the stupidestly low prices for stuff

When done properly, eBay sniping avoids bidding wars, shill bidding, and losing.
To be a successful eBay sniper, enter the very maximum you are willing to pay when the auction has less than 10 seconds to go. Then imagine the faces on those lowballers you just beat.
