A viral disorder, usually among men, that causes obsession with someone else's television. Characterized by longing for the latest technology, tube envy can cause unplanned visits to appliance stores, resulting in custom home theatre installation and unexplained jock itch. While spreading slowly, this disorder can propagate through entire subdivisions in one football season. An unexpected side effect is increased discussion of Oprah brought on by the female. There is no cure, but purchase avoidance begins with vigorous outdoor exercise.

Bumping into someone from school and asking them what they do now.
And then they say something like "I am an architect" or "I am a doctor" or "I can actually tie my shoelaces" etc.
And they ask you what you do now and you spontaniously claim to be an astronaut or the queen's personal funk advisor.
But all you have really been doing for the last three years is sitting in a dark room and crying and eating pies.
This is life envy
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE
When you do not get to sleep with someone, who has been intimate with everyone else in the circle of friends. This can lead to the development of Eskimo Envy, whose other symptoms include a proclivity to eat ice cream and frozen yogurt but deriving no joy from the experience, a general frigidity with that circle of friends, as well as the desire to mail order a Snuggie.
