Indian Mothers

Over bearing matriarchial figures who want you to be desperately unhappy in your life because you won't be able to live it the way YOU want- no, everything in your life has to please THEM.

Melodramatic, melancholy and depressing (if not depressed themselves 95% likely) Indian mothers push their children too hard and want you to be either:
1. A doctor
2. An engineer
3. A lawyer
4. A dentist
Hysterical when accused of a fault, stubborn and demanding, they will make you do all the chores and then criticise you and tear you personality to shreds...so that you won't HAVE a personality. They want to grind you down into a conforming indian guy/girl to carry on the stupid traditions and culture that have been running for 9482429 years. People get with the program!
Highly critical and suspicious, if you have ever smoked, taken drugs or had sex, they will find out.... somehow and if you ever dare to date anyone from outside your race.. GOOD LUCK you'll need it!

They will kick you out of the house or cut you off if you don't follow their plans for you. Great at manipulating and using emotional blackmail.

they're such indian mothers...they don't let their kids go out and they make them study all the time, even at night.

indian giver

Indian Giver
There are two popular etymologies for this term for a person who gives a gift only to later demand its return. The first is that it is based on an unfair stereotype of Native Americans, that they don't keep their word. In the other popular explanation, the term doesn't cast aspersions on Native Americans, instead it echoes the broken promises the whites made to the Indians. Neither is accurate, although the first is closer to the truth.

Instead the term comes from different commercial practices. To the Native Americans, who had no concept of money or currency, gifts were a form of trade goods, of exchange. One didn't give a gift without expecting one of equivalent value in return. If one could not offer an equivalent return gift, the original gift would be refused or returned. To the Europeans, who with their monetary-based trade practices, this seemed low and insulting, gifts were not for trade but were to be freely given.

The noun Indian gift dates to 1765. Indian giver follows about a century later in 1865. Originally, these reflected simply the expectation of a return gift. By the 1890s, the sense had shifted to mean one who demands a gift back.

Indian CCTV

Indian women who live in India, in their 50s+ who have nothing better to do with their time apart from stalk younger people in the street from their windows and see what they r upto. Some tend to be fat. If someone appears to be doing something which is not seen as right in their eyes, for example 2 opposite genders just talking and doing nothing else, they seem to think that they automatically have the right to get involved and tell them off when in reality haven’t done anything wrong. This is due to the fact that they still think it’s 1940 and opposite genders can’t talk. Always think they are right when 99% of the time they are wrong.

“Look at that old Indian woman being a cctv camera. She’s proper staring at those people over there who are doing nothing wrong. This is what you call an Indian CCTV camera”.

Indian Trombone

The excessive and hilarious flatulence one experiences after eating spicy Indian food .

After that dinner last night, I've been playing the Indian Trombone in my office this afternoon, like a virtuoso.
