A friend whore is someone who is everyone's safe friend, doesn't set appropriate boundaries, is too forgiving, and doesn't share his/her true feelings at the risk of jeopardizing the dysfunctional relationship or feeling guilty.
You were always my safe friend in high school. I could always turn to you, even when I didn't treat you well.
That's because I used to be a friend whore and never set boundaries with you. I was your friend when you weren't mine.

Someone who you might think is your friend, but is going to bail on you the moment you would expect them to uphold their end of the friendship; about supportive as a paper cut-out.
Unlike a real friend, a paper friend will never be there to cheer you up, bail you out of trouble, or help you out in any way, if they aren't getting anything out of the deal at least. Unlike a Theoretical Friend, they probably never really were your friend in the first place.

When you list a person as a #core, you view them as being a fixture in your life; you can't imagine your life without them. You view them as family and essentially as an extended part of yourself.

Someone who is friends with two people before they engage in a relationship, and who remains friends with both people throughout the relationship (inc a breakup).
The "bridge" between the two, socially. When a problem, such as a breakup, develops between the two, the bridge friend is the one who gets all the awkward questions the two in the relationship don't have the stones to ask each other.
Adam: Dude what's up with you?
Bret: Uh, Cathy collared me and started asking a bunch of questions about Dylan and why he won't return her calls.
