a hyphen. it's just a mother-fucking hyphen. You use it with compound words and preceded by "oft-" if you're feeling fancy.

Millennial A: Hey what's with the - thing?

Millennial B: Not sure bud. It's either a minus sign or that thing some idiots put between 1 and D.

a symbol that retarded instagram girls from the age of 9-16 use at the end of a sentance to be "quirky" when in reality it just makes them look like a retarded piece of shit that doesnt know how grammar works, people that use this also probably play "Roblox" which makes it even more cringy and depressing

person 1: hey, you ever just say "fuck it" and dont brush your teeth for a night?
person 2: i- uhh- no, never?-

In messaging or texting, a - acts In the same way as a * when correcting. If I word just plain shouldn't be there and makes the sentence pure confusing, you don't gotta type everything over again, just minus out the world you didn't mean to throw in there.

Me: So I met the this really cool girl named taylor on FaceBokk the other day be

Me: -be
Me: *Taylor
Me: *Facebook

Something used to connect words together into a two word phrase. Also used when a writing is suddenly interrupted.

Not to be a smartass, but to you white girls, it is NOT used to end literally every sentence ever! Did you guys go to school or what?

Correct usage:
Guy 1: Im going to go get some ice cream.
Guy 2: DA-
Guy 1: And I'm getting vanilla ice cream.
Guy 2: Ok, you didn't have to interrupt me like that you half-witted fuck!

Incorrect usage:
Girl 1: oh my god we're getting a cat today-
Girl 2: i wish i had a cat-
Logical Person: Did you guys go to preschool?
