The application of a person skilled in an applied art or craft. Identification of high-quality product made in limited quantities, usually by a skilled crafts-person or artisan.
At one time even the construction workers took pride in their artisanal skills which they applied in very intricate details in the construction process. Now it is mostly high price chefs with the artisanal skills, whose work is quickly devoured.

Also, the price charged for "Artisan Greens" is often written simply as a number without the dollar sign and without zeros. e.g. "Artisan Greens - 12". This further convinces people of the gourmet and artistic nature of the dish and obscures the actual price.
Patron: " Do you have a side salad I can order?"
Waitress: "I have Artisan Greens that you can order as a side dish for 12"
