An uncommon, but physically and mentally demanding sport, where the rowers are more jacked than the largest football players.
Person 1: "That quarterback is pretty hot."
Person 2: "But not as hot as all the rowers who do Crew."

Considered the top most difficult sport in existence. The crew , or rowers, commit themselves day after day (sometimes before school in the morning or during school vacations twice a day)in order to achieve top physical condition. Pre-season training consists of resistance training, running, and the oh so beloved erg. An erg is a device that is synonomous with torture and causes immense pain due to the lactic acid build up in the muscles. Some say, "You havn't experienced pain until you've sprinted the last 500 meters." On this machine, some pull so hard as to vomit, pass out, or find themselves unable to walk afterwards. Once race season begins, the crews race in elongated boats consisting of 1, 2, 4, or 8 person boats. Races are generally 1500-6000 meters long, yet only last a matter of minutes. The tremendous exertion of energy from the crew leaves them completely exausted at the end of the race. CREW IS FOR REAL ATHLETES, nuff said.

The MOST physically demanding sport ever. Consitits on sprint season where you normally row a 2k or a head race which can be over 6k. Its takes perfect poise, Strenghth, determanation, and oh yeah STRENGTH. Not to mention all your free time. Sorry cheerleaders and football players this sports a bit to hard for you.
Crew Kid: Oh god man I'm so sore!
Football player: Me too man I had to pass a ball back and fourth for 6 minutes!

Stroke: Stroke as hard as you can and stroke in time with everyone else, thats what crew is all about.

this is the sport where the coxswain doesn't say "stroke", he says "catch". There are 1 person boats, 2 persons, 4 persons, and 8 persons. This is the sport that takes up time and attention just because it is that important
