When ultra-MAGA Trumpublicans or white Christian nationalists are hell-bent to censor any math educator or publisher who dares to expose the whitewashing of math or math education throughout history, because allowing them to right any past mathematical wrongs or injustices committed by colonialists or imperialists would lay bare their selfish attempts to brainwash millions of children that the evolution of mathematical ideas is a white people’s contribution.
White supremacist or extremist math educators label mathematicians and math educators, who question the distorted or fake view of the history of mathematics, or who lecture about mathematical wokeism, as “mathematically toxic”—they’d be deprived of education funding for discussing that math is racist, or for condemning centuries-long white male privilege in academia.

An ideological straw person the makes a pejorative out of the perceived excesses of socially liberal politics in the West, and especially the United States. Typically, it ends up saying more about the anxieties of the conservatives who invoke it than the group they are criticizing.

Is it really killing creativity? Is that the problem? Or is it that the creatives aren’t being paid for their work and then they stop creating? Because they need, like, food and stuff and can’t spend all their time writing if they have to, I don’t know, work 9 days in a row and then debate whether or not to walk 4 miles to the laundromat to get quarters on the tenth day and spend all day doing laundry (because your whore of a wife won’t fuck me and I have to do it myself) and then either clean my house or not because because to fuck your slutty wife I need my house to be clean and then I have 1 day off after that before I have to work again. I mean I find time but I’m a genius and the plurality of my thought is so vast that were the ocean to disappear tomorrow, I could refill it with my mind. But not everyone is like me. You need to pay creatives.
