The Illinois Institute of Technology, also characterized by the large amount of bathroom-slipper wearing Indians studying there. It's located at 35th and State St just south of the loop in Chicago. Many students complain about the neighborhood, but then again, most of them come from places like Idaho.

1. Acronym for Indian Institutes of Technology - Joint Entrance Examination. A multiple choice test in Physics, Chemistry and Maths taken by high-school (grade 12) students who seek admission into the 7 IITs - which are considered India's best engineering institutes. The IIT-JEE is considered one of the toughest exams in the world with about 720,000 students competing for 6000 seats

The generic name given to the set of slangs commonly used by undergraduate students of the reputed Indian Instititutes of Technology. Knowledge of IIT Lingo is traditionally passed down from existing batches to new batches of IIT students.
A word form IIT lingo of special mention (because it is so overused) is 'arbit', short for arbitrary.
IIT Lingo includes abbreviations of words like ob.(obviously) and gen.(generally), Indian corruption of English words like pondy (porn) and frustapa (frustration) and suffixes like -max (lolmax, frustapa-max, etc.) apart from other such bewildering alterations.
