When the fate of something or someone has been determined and they are being watched. The predator's main thought is "SOON."

The origin of this phrase is in an under-appreciated lolcat, where an evil-looking cat is watching a chihuahua, with the only caption being SOON.

When pronounced, it helps to add suspense and drama by saying "SOON." in a low voice employed by that movie advertising dude.

A common word said by executives from Polyphony Digital, the developer behind the highly successful Gran Turismo series of video games when asked about a release date of their next game. Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the series often says the word when asked for a release date. The word, 'soon' usually means coming within a small time-frame but it is the total opposite when said by Polyphony Digital and Kazunori Yamauchi.
