the aura of effect

The aura of effect refers to a certain influence a persons presence has on those around him or her, due to the infectiousness of their personality. Meaning that whenever you spend time with the person, their aura of effect rubs off on you and their personality characteristics replicate in you, mainly in a positive way.

Person one: Man, Dom is such an awesome guy. He's so happy, upbeat, friendly, eccentric and nice that he makes me want to have fun, be eccentric and happy. He's the kind of guy that makes me a better person. How come?
Person two: Yeah, it's the aura of effect that he has-you start to become like him when you hang around him.
Person one: Sweet.
Person two: I'd tap that.

the fishbowl effect

Where an individual or a group of people are being analysed by people external to them.

Can be a work situation where there deep insights are being sought to create a plan of action to support a transition to new ways of working or behaviours.

The meeting participants were less than the analysts, creating the fishbowl effect where they felt uncomfortable to share openly and transparently.

I felt like was a fish in a bowl with a whole lot of magnified eyes peering at me.

The Moxie Effect

When a woman purposely sabotages her man's look in order to make him less attractive to the opposite sex, much like Moxie drinkers can leave their nasty tasting soda in the fridge for months untouched by anyone who is thirsty, tap water is a better option. Anyone who drinks Moxie assures themselves that nobody will ever touch their soda.

Gisele Bundchen telling Tom Brady his scraggly looking hair looks "great". Clearly she has an arterial motive of making him less attractive to other models thus the Moxie Effect.

The Liriano Effect

The way something is cool when people don't know about it, but once it becomes popular it ceases to be cool.

I hate the Liriano Effect.
