The feeling one gets during a long news cycle when all forms of media continue to report the same information over and over and over and over again. Ad Newseum is characterized by irritability, nausea, abusive language and remarks hurled at televisions and computer screens and generalized impatience.
The Ad Newseum caused by all this repetitive covid-19 coverage is intense. If I hear one more time, just one more time, about toilet paper hoarding or social distancing, I swear I'm going to put the tv through the f-ing wall!!!
When you are doing something really important and an Ad pops up. You click the close button over and over and it wont close. Then, you are forced to restart your computer, causing you to lose everything you didn't save.
Person 1: Damn it! I just got Ad Bombed
Person 2: I did last night. I was forced to restart my computer.

Attacking someone's grammar/spelling in debate rather than focusing on their argument. An intentional play on the word "ad hominem".
Person A: I think you're argument is illogical. Here are several well-reasoned arguments why I think so.
Person B: It's "your", not "you're". I will now call you names like "illiterate imbecile" while completely ignoring the fact that you pwned me in reason and logic.
Person A: That's an ad homonym attack.

An opportunity. Most commonly used in skiing and snowboarding, though is also can be used in describing a person.
Jeff came by a want ad and took off to jump the cliff.

The American Ad Council produces advertising materials across all media to promote values beneficial to the American public, or some such ridiculousness. Failed crusades include the war on drugs, the war on smoking, the war on teen pregnancy, and, more recently, the war on being fat. Ad Council commercials tend to be smarmy, overbearing, and idiotic.
"I'm not a chicken; you're a turkey!"
"This is your brain on heroin. This is your LIFE! Your family!! Your dog..."
You may remember these television commercials, brought to you by the Ad Council.
