Screamo- a type of music in which the vocalist screams, instead of singing the lyrics. It is similar to post-hardcore music, but unlike post-hardcore (in which there is more singing) there is a lot more screaming.
Not all bands that scream are screamo. Bands such as PTV or SAS are not screamo.
Has a completely different fan base than then emo music, and is not happy being called emo. Though many emo's do enjoy screamo music, not all screamo fans should be labeled emo. They are a like, but not the same.
