emo kid

Emo kids.

There are many kinds of emo kids. there are Emo Kids who recognize themselves as emo kids. Although some are posers, some aren't. They just happen to realize that it would be easier for the other kids to label them like that. They feel for other people. They don't have to cut or do something totally rebellious to be an emo kid. They don't have to wear black or shop at hot topic.

All they have to do is be true to themselves. If the emo kid likes playing American Football, that doesn't mean he's a jock posing as an emo kid or the other way around.

Emo kids are people who are true to themselves. They call themselves what they want. They do what they want. They are polite, but honest. They are only very rude when the person they are talking to doesn't deserve respect. Emo kids tend to show what they feel to other people, whether that is love, hate, depression or sadness. that's why they're called EMO-tive KIDS.

NOT all emo kids have slashes on their wrists. NOT all emo kids have an ex they cry about and write poems about. NOT all emo kids have an lj, where they post sad stuff about. NOT all emo kids shop in hot topic. NOT all emo kids are gay. NOT all emo kids have floppy hair styles. NOT all emo kids are over dramatic about the smallest things in life. NOT all emo kids listen to just 'emo bands' or songs with meanings, although most love to.

What I'm trying to say is.. That an emo kid, is someone who is 'EMO' because that's who he is. Not because it is 'scene' or the hottest trend now. It is simply because that's who he is

Kid1: Hi. tell me about yourself
Emo kid: I'm an emo kid.
Kid2: yeah. he cuts his wrists and sings to dashboard confessional. He's gay too.
Emo Kid: I don't. I'm just in touch with my inner feelings...
Kid2: see. he is gay. I mean what kind of a guy is 'in touch with his inner feelings'???
Kid1: ...
Emo Kid: -__-'

emo haircut

an emo haircut does not necessarily have to be short and hidden face sort of thing though it is usually of that fashion.
the stereotype for an emo goth haircut is as follows;

girls: shoulder length or shorter usually with lots of layers - often cut themselves, dyes such as black and red, black and blond, blond and brown etc (two natural colours) - Usually a side fringe that covers one eye. sometimes with small bunches or braid at the back though the front section will be left floppy.

boys: anti-mullet style will a flip over fringe. usually brown, black red or black-blue. sometimes an all over mullet thought the fringe will stay the same all the time.

As you can see this can be a very nice style and is often accompanied with dark eye makeup and a light colored face. sometimes a tattoo if a teardrop underneath the visible eye

an emo haircut is good looking dark coloured - stands out from usual haircuts - ALWAYS WITH A SIDE FRINGE COVERING ONE OR PART OF ONE EYE

Emo Gatekeeper

To a normal person, emo music consists of bands such as My Chemical Romance, The Used, Jimmy Eat World and Paramore. However, an Emo Gatekeeper would claim that it’s β€œtoo melodramatic and staged!!!!!” They say emo is not supposed to be mainstream (which is a dumb thought in itself, because these bands are helping out your emo concept, but whatever).

They always go on rants that usually consists of something similar to this:
β€œReal emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. β€œ They never stop to realize that literally no one gives a shit.

Their examples of β€œReal Emo” always consists of like the same five bands: Rites of Spring, Embrace, Cap n Jazz, Embrace, and Loma Prieta.

The first Rites of Spring album (who they usually call the first emo band) was released in 1985. This fits in with their age (usually around 50) because it’s proves they probably have an emotional attachment to their childhood emo bands and are scared of change. You kinda gotta feel bad for them.

People who listen to normal emo (shit like mcr) don’t really at all about what music is or isn’t, they just like the music. Emo Gatekeepers seem to be the only ones who push their beliefs so hard.

Dude 1: Hey, dude 2! Wanna listen to some emo?

Dude 2: Sure! I love MCR and Paramore

Emo Gatekeeper; *busts through wall* β€œLISTEN HERE KID YOU CLEARLY DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT EMO MEANS! EMO DERIVES FROM THE DC EMOTIONAL HARDC-β€œ

Dudes 1 & 2: Bro, no one gives a shit

Emo guys

Generaly Emo guys are hot! some wanna be's try to hard so they dont fit it...these are generally called newbreads!

Emo lads like to have black hair with a peroxide blonde fringe sweaping over one eye or they have peroxide blonde hair with a black fringe sweaping over one eye. they have lots of lip peicrings and tend to wear skinny fits(drainpipe trousers)

People sterotype emo's of all types and say they never smile and cry over songs! THIS IS NOT TRUE! Emo's are sensitive people, yes, but like every1 else they just like to hang around and enjoy the company!
