Madden Curse

The stupidest piece of bullcrap I've ever heard. There is no Madden "curse". But people say "0MGZ ALL OF TEH COVAR GUYZ GOTZ INJURY'D!!" Well no crap, it's football. Last time I checked you hit people in football. And when you're surronded by some of the strongest men on earth, I'd think that injuries would happen rather often.

50-60% of NFL players will be injured somewhere along the line during the season. You can't tell me that just because they were on the cover of some game, that's why they're injured. The injures of the cover players have ranged from different injuries for different lengths. You can't tell me that that's from being on the cover of the game when 50-60% of NFL players will be injured somewhere along the lines of the season. Now say if all the players got hurt from the same injury, and/or the same length. Then you could probably make a case. But this "curse" is way to general when 50-60% of NFL players will get injured somewhere along the line. And when the cover players injuries are all different injuries, at different times and such. Plus it's football. In football, you hit people...hard, and run aggressively without finesse sometimes that can led to a dangerous slip and fall. There's no "curse", the curse doesn't exsist.

But Eddie George was never effected by the "curse". Eddie was on the Madden 2001 cover. That follows the 2000 season. In the 2000 season Eddie George ran for a career high of 1500+ yards. What's his curse? Nothing, exactly.

Culpepper had what you would call a sophomore slump, then improved and is one of the best QB's around. So he got inured. Hot damn! It happens all the time in football.

Marshall Faulk got injured and continues to get injured... and older. He's lasted pretty long for a running back who runs like he does. He takes a lot of punishment for his running style. For his age at the time, all he need was one injured to take him out. That's what happen. It wasn't the curse, he got OLD.

Vick? Broken leg. What about Chad Pennington? He went down the same DAY Vick went down and people forget that. He's been affected worse than Vick as it is a reoccuring injury. The "curse" helped the Falcons by giving them a high draft pick and they snagged DeAngelo Hall, a very promising corner. Then they returned to the playoffs.

Ray Lewis? He broke his wrist and his team fell off the playoff race. How about the curse was the Steelers going 15-1, Pats going 14-2... and the AFC being a VERY strong conference. The Ravens also had legal trouble and Ogden was hurt. It wasn't a curse. The curse does not exsist. The Ravens wouldnt've made it to the playoffs if Lewis was healthy all season anyway. They improved a lot over the off season and I expect them to win the division and make the playoffs.

Whoever still believes in the madden curse after what I've just posted deserves to be punch in the head.

All-Madden Bullshit

When You Try your Hardest to win on all-madden, this is called all-madden bullshit. When your QB throws 6 INT'S One Game, Your RB Only gets 2 yards a play, The CPU Wide Reciever Catches every f*cking pass, The CPU QB Completes every F*cking pass, Etc Etc

P.S: This is only intended as a joke for pissed off all-madden users that constantly lose like me when The CPU Is doing less work and The User is doing all of the work.

Ex 1: Oh WTF Dude! That's my 4th INT. ALL-MADDEN BS!
EX 2: Damnit! Frank Gore Running over Javon Kearse. ALL MADDEN BS!
Ex 3: Holy Crap I'm Actually winning 7 to nothing on All-Madden! NOOOOOO! Kenny threw an INT at the goal line and they ran it back for six?!? ALL-MADDEN BS!

Madden 10-dinitis

A condition that will begin afflicting users of the hotly anticipated "Madden 2010" after prolonged periods of gameplay. The first sufferers will be the midnight buyers, who will begin sensing symptoms at around 4 A.M. on August 14th, 2009.

Madden 10-dinitis will result in a brief, but severe drop, in productivity for the following work-week of the American economy, as upwards of 7 million people will have called in with the condition.

Alfonze (on phone): Hey boss, I got bad news. Yeah, I got tendinitis and won't be able to come into work until Monday at the earliest. That cool?

Rick the boss (on phone): Alfonze, do you have tendinitis, or do you have Madden 10-dinitis?

Alfonze: ...Madden 10-dinitis.

Rick the boss: All right. See you next week. (whispers) How is it?

Alfonze: THIS SHIT'S OFF THE CHAIN, SON!

Benji and Joel Madden

born: March 11th, 1979
hometown: Waldorf, Maryland
full names: Benjamin Levi Madden / Joel Rueben Madden

Benji and Joel's original last name was Combs, but in honor of their mother and because of their bad relationship with their father, they legally changed their last name to Madden (their mother's maiden name).

Identical twins Benji(guitarist/singer) and Joel(lead singer) Madden were born March 11th, 1979. The two grew up with their mother, father, older brother Josh, and younger sister Sarah.
The twins (who are Christian) grew up in a strict house hold. Their brother had introduced them to rock music, but in the beginning, their mother was very strict about 'punk' music and had restricted her children to Christian music. Once, after finding a poster of a punk band on their bedroom wall, Benji and Joel's mom quicky tore it down.
But that didn't stop them...
At the age of 16, their father walked out on Christmas eve, leaving the family deep in financial problems and homeless for a while. The family struggled with money and housing for quite a while. Their anger against their father inspired and encouraged the twins to start writing songs and making music. Benji learned guitar, and Joel went into vocals.
After graduating from highschool, their mother presented two plane tickets to California to them as gifts. The two then set off to pursue their goals. Pretty soon, the twins were getting recognized and got
friends Paul Thomas(bassist) and Billy Martin(guitarist) to join in.
Once the band was complete, the foursome took the name 'Good Charlotte' from a children's book.
Soon after, Good Charlotte was signed and they recorded the epic and last year recorded their second cd; the young and the hopeless. They have written songs about suicide('hold on'), being yourself and not giving a shit about what others say('the anthem'), relationships('boys and girls', 'my bloody valentine', and 'say anything'), and even one about Benji's dog (cashdogg) "wondering". They've created these songs with so much talent while adding a little humor into them and their music videos.

If you didn't buy the cd 'the young and the hopeless', here's the letter that Benji wrote inside:

'so it's 2 am july 27 2002 and we're driving thru the middle of nowhere on our way to a show in chicago. i haven't showered in a week, i'm running on no sleep, i miss cashdogg and some kid at the show today asked me "why i even call myself punk". these may sound like complaints but actually i'm really happy. i am listening to this record, yea I'll admit it I listen to our records and i am thinking how crazy all this is. 3 years ago i was stockin shelves at target living on ramen noodles and crashing at Billy's house. now i'm on tour. 4 kids from nowhere. we made another record and i feel just as excited as i did the first time. i say this all the time, but i mean it, if this all stopped yesterday i would still feel like the luckiest guy alive. i remember going into my room after school writing letters to record labels saying "you can sign us now for cheaper" and sending out demos. i laugh about it now but back then i was so serious. you know we dreamed about this all day every day and i gotta say it feels just like we thought it would.
our goals may have changed. i'll admit, it's not about being famous or making millions of dollar anymore. yeah, i used to day dream about that, being broke gets old quick but now i have sorta seen how it all works and i don't want to be the biggest band in the world i want to make music with paul and billy and joel. that's all. i want to tour. i want to be good to my friends. i want to take care of my family. i want to meet kids at shows. that's real to me.
i see some bands and i get frustrated for them. it's easy to get lost in the whirlwind of all of this but i realize we all have to learn on out own, we are still learning. we have made our share of mistakes. we have done some cheesy stuff. but it's good to look back and laugh at how young we were. i see a lot of bands worrying about credibility and all of that and i guess i have realized it only comes with time if we are still here in ten years maybe we will be credible. til then we just gotta do what we want to do, make music. tour. provide for our families. you know i used to fist fight every guy i cam across that told me i wasn't punk. lars asked me one night "are you gonna fight the world?' he was right, i was pretty stupid. it made me realize we are what we are and no one can change that. i guess we have done a lot of growing up since the last record. we started this when we were 16. its the only thing i ever had. its probably the only thing i ever will have.. i just feel lucky. we are four kids in a rock band from waldorf. we're no better than any other band out ther and we know it. so thanx for getting our record and being part of this. thanx for giving us a chance to do what we love. thanx for making this real.
see ya at the show
